Published Friday, May 20th 2016THE CARNIVAL VISTA HAS ARRIVED!: May 1st was a proud moment for Carnival Cruise Lines when the brand new Carnival Vista set sail on her inaugural voyage from Trieste, Italy. Carnival Vista is the 25th ship in the fleet and offer the best of their most popular features, along with a number of new ones such as the first Imax Theatre at Sea, the industry’s first Skyride, Micro-Brewery, Havana Cabana staterooms with public areas, Family Harbor Staterooms and Lounge, many outdoor dining venues, and many more!
MAY IS MILITARY MONTH: In honor of the men and women who serve in the U.S. and Canadian military, Carnival Cruise Lines is offering active and retired service members special savings and bonuses during May. The promotion, which provides a $50 onboard credit per cabin and a two-category upgrade, can be combined with Carnival’s highly attractive military rates. In addition, guests who qualify for the month-long promotion can book up to two additional staterooms with the same bonuses and pricing. The promotion can be booked throughout the month of May and is applicable for cruises departing between August 2016 and April of 2018.
CARNIVAL INTRODUCES COZUMEL PLUS: Cozumel Plus is a new program for Carnival Cruise line in which port calls have been extended on more than 750 voyages, providing guests with even more opportunities to experienced and explore this diverse vacation destination. Many new excursions have been added as a result of the extended time in port, with several of these on the Mexican mainland. Guests now have access to unforgettable experiences like swimming with whale sharks (seasonal), visiting centuries-old ruins and swimming in hidden caverns. These complement nearly 50 existing tours already available.
FATHOM OFFICIALLY SAILED TO CUBA: Carnival Corporation received approval from the Cuban government to operate Fathom in Cuba beginning May 1st and just returned from Cuba amid much celebration as the first cruise ship to arrive from the USA to Cuba in over 50 years.

2016 “CARNIVAL LIVE CONCERT SERIES”: The 2016 LIVE Concert Series FALL roster will feature the popular acts of Sam Hunt and Comedians Chris Tucker and Jim Gaffigan. Carnival LIVE concerts are performed on Carnival vessels while they are docked in one of three ports of call at Cozumel, Nassau and St. Thomas. Tickets range from $30-$75 general admission and $100 to $250 for VIP passes (depending on the artist)
CHEERS! BEVERAGE PROGRAM UPDATE: Carnival has enhanced the Cheers Beverage program to include a greater variety of non-alcoholic drinks, as well as higher quality brand-name spirits, wine by the glass, etc. The cost will remain the same ($49.95 if purchased on line and $54.95 if purchased once on board).
CARNIVAL LIQUOR & BEVERAGE POLICY CHANGE: Carnival recently made a change to our Liquor & Beverage Policy where guests will no longer be allowed to bring on board water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages packaged in bottles. Any confiscated items will also be discarded. In conjunction, pricing for water purchased online or onboard will decrease to make it more affordable for guests. You can pre-order bottled water at www.carnival.com/funshops/beverages/water, or On Board Room Service for $3.99 plus tax for a 12 pack (16.9 fluid oz.).
CARNIVAL MAGIC UNDERWENT A MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR RENOVATION THAT ADDED EXCITING DINING AND BAR CONCEPTS: In preparation for its Space Coast debut this spring, the 130,000-ton Carnival Magic underwent an extensive multi-million-dollar dry dock that added a variety of exciting dining and bar innovations, including Guy’s Burger Joint, Red Frog Rum Bar, Blue Iguana Tequila Bar, Pizzeria del Capitano and the Alchemy Bar. Carnival Magic has repositioned to Port Canaveral, Fla. to begin year-round Caribbean departures from that port.
CARNIVAL MAGIC FEATURES NEW GUY FIERI OPEN AIR BARBECUE EATERY: Chef and restaurateur Guy Fieri, whose Guy’s Burger Joints on Carnival Cruise Line ships have earned a reputation as the best burgers at sea, has expanded his seagoing culinary offerings with a new authentic smokehouse and barbecue venue aboard Carnival Magic. Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse is a casual open-air eatery located on Carnival Magic’s Lanai on Promenade Deck featuring a wide variety of BBQ favorites smoked right on board over hickory and cherry wood using Guy’s signature recipes, rubs and spices. A member of the American Royal National Barbecue Hall of Fame, Fieri is cooking up real-deal smokehouse favorites. A rarity on cruise ships, Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse features a traditional wood smoker which was installed on board as part of a recent dry dock. The Smokehouse also features Fieri’s own unique take on traditional side dishes with deliciously creative offerings like Mac Daddy Mac n Cheese, Old Skool Potato Salad, Scratch-Made Slaw, Collard Greens with Smoked Turkey, and Molasses Baked Beans with Bacon and Burnt Ends. All items at Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse will be available free of charge. Be sure to grab lots of napkins -- it’s gonna get messy!
CARNIVAL VALOR UNDERGOES EXTENSIVE MAKEOVER: In preparation for its new year-round program of three- and four-day voyages from Port Canaveral kicking off later this year, Carnival Valor has undergone an extensive renovation that added a variety of popular dining and bar concepts, including Guy’s Burger Joint, Red Frog Pub, Sky Box Sports Bar, Red Frog Rum Bar, Blue Iguana Tequila Bar and Alchemy Bar. The new spaces were added in a recent dry dock. What a great ship for shorter corporate cruises or seminars at sea.
CARNIVAL VISTA TO HAVE HAND CRAFTED BEER ONBOARD: When guests raise a pint in the Red Frog Pub & Brewery on the Carnival Vista, they will have a choice of three distinctly flavored hand-crafted beers brewed right onboard in our first brewery at sea! Carnival has partnered with Miami based Concrete Beach Brewery to create three original recipes by sourcing and selecting the finest ingredients.
