New* Cruising from Barbados with Royal Caribbean
Published Tuesday, February 2nd 2021 - Updated Tuesday, February 2nd 2021Barbados is a Southern Caribbean island known for its beautiful beaches, charming culture, rich history, great food, colorful shops and of course rum. Although many Americans love to visit Barbados, it is too far from the USA to capture in a 7 night cruise. So we are very excited that Royal Caribbean announced it will begin offering cruises on Grandeur of the Seas from Bridgetown, Barbados between December 2021 and April 2022. Mostly 7 night sailings, there are a couple 14 night amazing itineraries there as well. These 14 night sailings are selling out fast so if you are interested in one of those in early 2022 call us today. See the Caribbean as never before! These itineraries will stun you.
Royal Caribbean has gone the extra step by securing seats on existing flights to Barbados and added a charter flight from Miami. Although it is an added option, you are still free to book your flights independently. This unique offering will allow guests to book outside of the normal 11 months for certain cities that will have nonstop flights to Barbados.
The departure time for sailings from Barbados is not until 10pm, so that there is more time for people to fly in for their cruise. Ideally guests will fly in the day or two before and have some extra time to enjoy the beautiful blue waters of this island. The Barbados airport to the Bridgetown cruise terminal is approximately 30 minutes. So if you are flying in day of departure, take that into consideration. Royal Caribbean will offer transportation from the Barbados airport or we can arrange a private transfer. Getting around in Barbados is easy enough with taxis but be sure to agree on a fixed rate before getting in, as taxis on the island are not metered. If you rent a car remember that you must drive on the left-hand side on the island.
If you are planning on a pre or post hotel stay, we can book your hotel through one of our hotel suppliers or take advantage of booking one of the hotel properties that Royal Caribbean has recommended. I will not sugarcoat the fact the hotel pricing is high in Barbados so again, the sooner you have that hotel locked in the better.
Royal Caribbean's choice of offering cruises between December and April coincides with hot temperatures and predictably sunny skies. No chance of hurricanes either! Remember you will need a passport to fly to Barbados so before booking please check your expiration date. Due to office closures during the pandemic, the passport renewal process is still delayed at this time.
Here are 3 sailings that will show you the itineraries and best pricing at this time. Please note that pricing and availability is subject to change. When pricing changes, the price may show as Call For Pricing. That just means we need to do an update for you which can be done quickly if you call us.
