Categories Travel time: Once you board your cruise ship, you do not have to worry about where you are going, when you will get there or what route to take. You can swim, play games, take in a show, have a massage, enjoy dining with new friends or sleep all while you are traveling either to your destination or between ports of call. You have a designated driver for the length of the cruise!

Value: We sell all travel. So when I say that cruising is the best bang for your buck, trust my experience. Now if you wait until the last minute to book a cruise during high season or holidays of course you will pay more than the guest who planned in advance. Use a cruise specialist to make sure you are booking the right ship for you. They also know the current cruise lines deals. A cruise vacation includes all your meals, accommodation, entertainment, transportation to breathtaking ports and ship board amenities for an average of $70 to $130 per day. Many ships are now offering Broadway shows like CATS, Chicago and Hairspray or great Illusionist shows or award winning Comedians for no additional cost. Think what those tickets sell for in theatres

Only unpack once: On a cruise you should completely unpack that first day and tuck those suitcases under the bed.  You can now travel from city to city in the Mediterranean or island to island in the Caribbean without packing and unpacking daily. What is easier than less work?

Constantly changing view: Unless you are doing a road trip via car, train or motorcoach, staying at an all-inclusive resort for a week gives you one view. Sometimes it might not be such a great view at that. On a cruise ship you could be passing different islands in the Caribbean, glaciers in Alaska, castles on a river in Europe or a volcano in Hawaii.  Walk around the ship and have a 360 degree view. I have never had a bad view from a cruise ship. My husband gets up every morning in time to watch the sunrise over the ocean. I love the sunsets on the water but my favorite is the moonbeams dancing on the waves at night.

Food:  Okay, let’s admit it. People love to eat on a cruise. Not having to cook is always a pleasure. Not having to take out your wallet after every meal is another pleasure. The difference on a cruise compared to a hotel restaurant is that if you loved your entrée and want a second portion, just ask. No additional cost. Feeding teenagers is much easier on a cruise! It is also an opportunity to expand your taste buds and try new foods you never wanted to pay for in case you hated them. Cruise lines also make every effort to provide for special dietary needs as well.

Meet people, make friends: So you are happy traveling with your spouse or family and meeting new people along the way is not important. Well I guarantee you that your kids are going to have way more fun with kids their age in the free activity programs than riding in the back seat of your car. They can go shoot hoops, play ping pong, go rock climbing, do a ropes course challenge, play mini golf, scream down a water slide and much more all while you are relaxing in the sun or sneaking a second Guy’s Burger. Solo travelers have a perfect opportunity to meet other travelers in a safe environment on a cruise ship. Seniors, well let me tell you they can be the life of the ship! Something about cruising brings out the best in our beloved seniors! Everyone will find someone to talk to on a cruise ship and lasting friendships can be made.

Choice: Cruising is about choice. You can do it all or you can do nothing at all. Get off in port or stay on the ship. Eat early or eat late. Read a book or do a fitness class. Having choices makes for happy travelers. Cruising has a very high customer satisfaction rate and most cruisers can’t wait to sail again.
